HMS Steel Scrap ( Rails Scrap)-Top Grade Heavy Melting Scrap 99% Fe Content Recycling Secondary Steel US Origin T2290KWT-48 20
Heavy Melting Scrap (HMS) is one of the most commonly traded types of ferrous scrap in the global recycling and steel manufacturing industry. It consists of steel and wrought iron materials, processed and sized for efficient furnace melting. Our HMS is clean, consistent, and furnace-ready, ideal for use in steel mills, foundries, and metal recycling plants.
What is Heavy Melting Scrap?
Heavy Melting Scrap is classified into two main grades:
- HMS 1: Heavy, clean steel scrap with a thickness of 6 mm or more. Free from galvanized, blackened, or painted metals.
- HMS 2: Lighter gauge scrap that may include galvanized or painted steel, often mixed with HMS 1 in an 80/20 ratio.
We supply both HMS 1, HMS 2, and blended HMS 1/2 depending on customer requirements.
